Dr. Hill is a Florida native who obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University. Dr. Hill’s interests when she is not at work include coffee, natural wine, and traveling! – Alexis M. Hill, Au.D. Clinical Audiologist Bridgewater Balance and Hearing
"Having come from a family that has several members with communication disorders (autism, hearing loss), it is my experience and opinion that a care provider can either make or break a situation for a patient and their family. Communication is not a one dimensional, one person moment in time. It is multifaceted and involves everyone around you — your family, your friends, your community! Being on “the other side of the table” is a responsibility and opportunity I do not take lightly. Every patient who affords me the privilege of providing them care is a blessing. I look forward to meeting and serving you so that your experience is the best it can be!”"
~ Alison Mitchell

Dr. Becker is a Sevier County Native, born and raised in the Great Smoky Mountains. She is a recent graduate of the great University of Tennessee with her Doctorate degree in Audiology. She found Audiology later in life, due to her daughter's inability to communicate at a young age. She went back to school to facilitate her communication needs, however; the process of helping her allowed her to find her calling. She enjoys meeting and helping any individual find communication solutions. The current pandemic has been a struggle for everyone. The lesson it has taught her is that communication with friends and family makes life better. When someone has hearing loss, it could possibly make them feel isolated and less connected with their environment. Dr. Becker's goal as an Audiologist is to help keep everyone connected, to live their best life. The Bridgewater Team is an amazing group that helps diagnose and provide treatment for individuals with hearing loss. She is so glad to be a part of the family. She currently resides with her husband, Jon, in Sevierville with their three kids, Seth, Emma, and Sutton.
Dr. Benson was born and raised in a small town in rural Montana, where she was taught to treat everyone like family. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder and expanded her skills while fulfilling her audiology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Benson has a passion for bringing people back together through the gift of communication, by providing prescriptive treatment options for hearing loss including cochlear implants and verified hearing aids. After contributing to research during her audiology residency, Dr. Benson is also an expert in vestibular diagnostic evaluations.
When she is not hard at work, Dr. Benson enjoys hiking, traveling, live music, and spending time with her dog, Fisher.

I was born and raised in West Creek New Jersey. My husband and I moved here after he received a job with the Sevierville Fire Department. In New Jersey, I worked in a Dental Office as a dental assistant and as their Office Manager, after moving here I knew right away I wanted to get back into the health care field in some way. I always considered my patients to be my friends and family, and I have found an amazing office that makes it possible to do that. In my spare time my husband and I love to travel back to New Jersey with our two pup Shadow and Leo to see our parents and friends who still reside there. We are in love with our new state we call home and can not wait to see what our future has in store for us!

“I don't know whom to thank first. My interaction with your company, Tabitha Rossini and Bridgewater Balance and Hearing, and to all involved — you have my gratitude. You have all brought me the gift of sound again, the likes I did not know how much I was missing for over twelve years. I have been disabled and also needed hearing aids since 2007. I have lived below the poverty line for many years and still could not manage to save enough money to get hearing aids. Words can't express my gratitude to all involved but THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! My life has changed for the better since i can hear again.”
~ James
“My entire experience at Bridgewater has been exceptional to say the least. Appointments are kept promptly, and the staff is beyond reproach in their professionalism and courtesy. You could not ask for a better experience! As I said, they are kind, courteous, and impeccably professional. Not to mention the fantastic results! It is marvelous to be able to hear like I could when I was 20 again. I absolutely love my new hearing device. It is easy to wear and very unnoticeable. The technology is top-of-the line, believe me. Love it, love it, love it! Thanks Dr. Baerman and staff. You guys are the greatest!”
~ James

“Doctor Baerman,
May you be blessed for your kindness and your generosity. Thank you so very much for helping Jim with his hearing aids. It was an enormous help to us and the hearing aids are wonderful. We wish there were more wonderful people like you in this world.”
~ Judy
“Dear Dr. Baerman,
Before I began teaching again, I needed to get my hearing checked. Several years ago, it was on the borderline. Sally (Dr. Baerman) was extremely friendly and professional in her approach. She patiently walked me through all the steps of hearing evaluation and assessment. It turned out I was a good candidate for the state of the art Delta Oticon digital hearing aids. I was so amazed by the way these hearing aids finely self-adjust to my hearing needs. Over the next few weeks, Sally tested, adjusted and fine-tuned the correct fit and hearing levels best suited for me. The best part is the freedom to remove them when I want or need. When I do take them out, the WOW factor appears. I feel like I’m underwater because my hearing world has abruptly diminished. For the past two years. I’ve been raving about my digital hearing aids to anyone who might be interested. The benefits to my life are priceless.”
~ Ellen
“I have required the care of hearing loss professionals for several years and recently relocated to this area. I was always pleased with my care and apprehensive about finding another really qualified provider until my experience at Bridgewater Hearing where my care has been exceptional! Dr. Sally Baerman took a lot of time to explain all the different products available and helped me choose the right hearing aids for my needs. The follow-up care has been great, and both Dr. Baerman and Denise make me feel like I’m one of the family. It is reassuring to know I can go to them anytime, with any question or problem, and they are always very professional, understanding and helpful. I am very happy I chose Bridgewater Hearing.”
~ Jeanne
“Dear Dr. Baerman,
Thanks for being so helpful and kind to me about my hearing. I could not hear anything before you gave me my hearing aids. I have had a tough time lately and my hearing is the only thing that seems right. I always look forward to seeing you.”
~ Charlotte
“Dear Dr. Baerman,
You have expanded my world! Thank you!”

“After living with a 50% hearing loss for several years, and using outdated hearing aids, I was quite frustrated that I never fully connected in any conversation. Then Dr. Sally Baerman from Bridgewater Speech and Hearing was recommended. This was the start of an incredible journey which has greatly improved my hearing. Dr. Baerman is great to work with and extremely thorough in testing and follow-up. Dr. Baerman provides all the knowledge, tools, and positive reinforcement for a tremendous improvement in your hearing. It's simply up to you to take ownership of your hearing. Don't settle for the outdated hearing aids in the newspaper adds. Working with Dr. Baerman has been a blessing. Thank you so much.”
~ Greg
“As a result of circulatory problems, I began to lose my hearing capacity at an early age, and first began wearing one or more hearing aids in 1980. Yet I did not make the switch to digital hearing aids until a few months ago. At the suggestion of a friend of a patient, I consulted with Dr. Tabitha Rossini at Bridgewater Balance and Hearing. What a lucky call that was! Dr. Rossini is a superb, well-trained, patient and experienced professional audiologist, and with her assistance and advice (no “hard-sell” tactics here) I purchased two reasonably priced digital hearing aids that allow me to hear sounds I have not heard in thirty years or more. I could understand most speech, including that of my grandchildren (for the very first time). It is as if my access to the world around me has been restored. I am very grateful and appreciative of Dr. Rossini, as well as the entire staff at Bridgewater. I look forward to continuing to work with them. They are special folks.”
